Colourful Maiden Career Day Held At Lasting Impression School

The Lasting Impression School (LIS) has held its maiden Career Day at the school premises under the theme “The road to the Top… How to get there from here”. The maiden Career Day which was held on Friday, 17th June 2022 was among other things to enlighten young minds of the school about careers, to position a career ambition in their minds, and drive their efforts towards attaining them in the future.

WHY CAREER DAY EVENT?

Career day is an event put together to enlighten… expose learners to the plethora of career (pursuits, professions, or occupational) opportunities available to them in the marketplace so that as they mature, they become fully aware of the diligence, the skill set, and work ethic required on their part in order to become the marvels and champions they desire to be in their chosen fields of endeavor.

Thus, the essence of the Career Day programme at Lasting Impression School was to help each learner answer the question that is burning in their hearts – “how do I get there from here? From dream… desire… vision… aspiration to reality”.

Pilots and Captains

With the vision of LIS to nurture learners into big, influential, and purposeful God-honouring leaders for societal transformation, we listened to the career aspirations of our learners and have pooled together an ever-growing list of industry captains in diverse fields of Entrepreneurship, Engineering, Finance, Information & Communication Technology, Law, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Military, Medicine, Fashion and Beauty Industry engaged learners of the school on Friday, June 17  during the celebration with their stories of how they made it to the top so that learners are encouraged that their dreams are possible and the course they ought to chart to make them come true.

Parents were not left out of the celebration, as they joined their children as part of the resource panel.

Learners are to come professionally clad in the costume associated with their dream careers.
