#DampareMustgo Trends on Twitter: Will he resign or be fired?
#DampareMustgo Trends on Twitter and for the right reasons as Ghanaians express dissatisfaction with the police leadership.
Ghanaians have expressed their total distaste for the unprofessional policing in recent weeks that have seen innocent Ghanaians being killed and gunned down by police officers.
The police shouldn’t be killing civilians.
For the seeming lack of trust in the Ghana Police, The family of Albert Donkor has rejected police interrogation because they believe the police through Kwesi Ofori lied/fabricated a story about him.
Police officers have become suspects in the death of Albert Donkor and Ghanaians are calling for the officers to be arranged before the court “Policemen are not jail-repellent, they should be arraigned to face the courts on their own unprofessional conducts in the murder of the young man.” A Twitter user said.
According to information available to Ghanaeducation.org “They (Ghana Police) claimed Albert Donkor was shot by unknown armed Robbers between 3:00 am and 6:00 am… yet it took the police 3 solid weeks to report that He was dead, what sort of unprofessional policing is this” Another Twitter user quizzed.

Ghanaians have questioned the silence of President Akuffo Addo over the unprofessional conduct of the police and the killing of innocent civilians.
Akuffo Addo was quick to tweet and speak against police brutality which involved George Floyd and even organized a funeral for him… why is the president quiet about police brutality in Ghana?” Another Twitter user quizzed.

Others do not see the need to call for the head of the Ghana police as they think that the police officer who committed the crime should be found and dealt with rather than says Dampare must go.
“Typical Ghanaians dey would hail u, den just as things start to go sideways dey start pushing u to the cliff. If some stupid policemen made a mistake, why is that his fault. He didn’t recruit those officers. Give him a chance, cos the system has already been rigged.” Another unhappy Ghana posted.
However, others feel that the task force sent to Nkoranza to resolve the mayhem is needless if the IGP cannot prosecute his men involved in the abhorrent murder.
Nearly, no one is happy about the irresponsible behaviour of the officers of the Ghana Police Service, but the big question is will DAMPARE resign, or would his appointment be terminated?
Ghanaians are calling on the Inspector General of Police to explain the professional reasons behind the reason for which the police went on an operation with an informant.
“You should be telling us how crime suspects and informants get killed during operations, who even sends an informant on an operation, let alone for only him to get shot,” AKWESI said.
