Free Tertiary Education for Freshmen Clarified by NDC’s Sammy Gyamfi

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has clarified its Free Tertiary Education Policy for Freshmen come 2020-2021 if it wrestles power from the ruling NPP government.
The NDC has named the new Free Tertiary Education Policy to be rolled out if it wins the 2020 election Fa Ninyinaa.

Speaking on Adom TV during prime time with Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi on Nokware Mmrԑ programme.
Sammy Gyamfi, the General Secretary of the NDC, disclosed that it is common knowledge that Freshmen’s fees are more than that of continuing Students.
He added that often the parents and guardians of such students have to pay other expenses, including accommodation on-campus or off-campus.
These and other related issues informed the decision of the compassionate NDC to decide that when voted into power, it will absorb the entire fees of students charged by the various universities.

All newly admitted students will pay 0% of their fees from their pocket. The National General Secretary added that the NDC manifesto has been improved to benefit those to be admitted for the first time.
Sammy Gyamfi disclosed that Sammy Gyamfi added that the Free Tertiary Education of the NDC will cover all students in the tertiary institutions of learning, thus Colleges of Education, Nursing Training Colleges, and Universities.

This will lessen the financial burden of parents, he added.
He furthered that the party has not neglected continuing students. The next NDC government will ensure that those going to level 200 upwards also receive a 50% subsidy by the government led by the NDC. This new addition to the NDC manifesto has become a topical issue among the youth of Ghana.
