The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially released the timeline for its ongoing recruitment process, providing clarity for thousands of applicants seeking to join the national service. The GES is expected to employ some 7,000 teachers.
In a recent communication, the management of the GES expressed its gratitude to all applicants for their interest in contributing to the country’s educational sector. The Service confirmed that it is currently in the midst of a rigorous review process to ensure that all submitted applications meet the established eligibility criteria outlined in the original recruitment advertisement.
Key Recruitment Milestones
The Service has outlined a clear path forward for successful candidates, with key dates as follows:
June 30, 2026: Completion of the application review phase.
July 20, 2026: Official announcement of shortlisted candidates.
July 20 – August 31, 2026: Onboarding and placement process at the Regional and District levels.

The recruitment process is being conducted according to the following schedule:
By 30th June, 2026: Review of applications completed
By 20th July, 2026: Announcement of shortlisted candidates done
20th July – 31st August, 2026: Onboarding process at the Regional and District levels
