Ghana Education Service Drops Very Important and Strong Message For Teachers

Based on the information that was gathered, the Ghana Education Service sent a strong message to teachers, directors, and students.
According to the document seen, the management of GES has learned that some heads of public basic schools are repeating JHS2 students from last year who are moving on to JHS3 this year.
According to the statement, the management strongly disagrees with this practice. This is because the JHS3 students who are taking the BECE this year are the last group to take the Objective-Based Curriculum.
It went on to say that the current JHS2 students will be the first group to take the BECE using Standard-Based Curriculum in 2024.
In light of this, all of last year’s JHS2 students should move on to JHS3 so that no Objective-based Curriculum students are put at a disadvantage in the BECE.
So, the Management asks each director to take this directive seriously.
