New WhatsApp group call control feature introduced [Check here]

Do you know there is a New WhatsApp group call control feature over annoying group calls?

This new update is available on Meta’s messaging platform for users.

The update was done this week for all group calls made on Meta-owned WhatsApp, and allows users to mute other group members participating in a group call. It also allows users to send messages to individuals within the group call.

A new privacy option is to be rolled out by WhatsApp as well.

New WhatsApp group call control feature introduced -Check the message that came with it

The new feature for group calls was announced by William Cathcart, Head of WhatsApp at Meta through his Twitter account. He said
Some new features for group calls on @WhatsApp
: You can now mute or message specific people on a call (great if someone forgets to mute themselves!), and we’ve added a helpful indicator so you can more easily see when more people join large calls.

WhatsApp has some new updates for its group calls that were announced today. The Meta-owned messaging platform now allows users to mute or message specific people on a group call. During the call, participants will also see a banner or an indicator suggesting a person has joined the call offscreen, which WhatsApp states will be beneficial during large meetings.

This new feature is good because in case a member forgets to mute himself or herself, others can do so or get in touch with the person to take the necessary steps. Currently, up to 32 group members can hook onto a single WhatsApp group call and the number of persons who can be added to a WhatsApp group has increased from 256 to 512.
WABetaInfo notes that this option to mute somebody on a call is not just limited to the person who made the call — other participants would also be able to mute anyone during a call.
To mute a WhatsApp user during a group call, all that needs to be done is to select the respective individual during the call and choose either to
mute the participant or send an individual message for the person to mute.
These new updates continue to make the messaging platform more user-friendly.
