Ghana’s COVID-19 cases rising – GMA advise to Government and managers of (Public and Private) schools
The GMA called on all well-meaning Ghanaians and Organizations to speak on and act in the best interest of Ghana.
The association has called on the Government and managers of (Public and Private) schools to ensure there are adequate education and strict adherence to all COVID-19 preventive protocols.
Schools have been called on to do the following.
a. Provide adequate education and ensure strict adherence to all COVID-19 preventive protocols.
b. Adhere to all laid down strategies for early detection, isolation, and treatment for COVID-19 cases reported from schools.
The GMA added that proactive action on the above in “The schools is very critical in preventing the spread of the diseases among pupils, students, and staff.”
The efficiency and effectiveness of school management will be critical if our students and pupils returning to school will be safe. Educations and other workers in our institutions must play their role to ensure strict adherence to the COVID-19 protocols.
Self-discipline and appreciating the dangers of our negligence and failure to observe the protocols pose to the general society and ourselves. We must guide our decisions to do the right thing.
Causes of increase in Ghana’s COVID-19 cases
The Ghana Medical Association is of the view that the sharp rise in COVID-19 cases can be attributed to the total disregard for and the lack of enforcement of all relevant COVID-19 preventive protocols throughout the country.
It added that Ghana’s imported cases through points of entry also account for the increased cases.
We all have a role to play. Take action now, let’s save our country and school children and you.
