The Ghana national team is set to face Angola in the reverse fixture of their qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
However, the head coach, Chris Hughton, has been forced to make some changes to his starting lineup due to an injury.
The last game saw the Black Stars secure a narrow 1-0 win over Angola, and Hughton is looking to build on that success.
However, he has had to make some changes to his defensive setup, with right-back Dennis Odoi being replaced by Kingsley Schindler due to an injury. Additionally, Joseph Aidoo has been brought in to replace the injured Alexander Djiku.
In midfield, Edmund has been joined by Abdul Salis Samed, while the attack remains unchanged, with Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, and Kamaldeen Sulemana supporting striker Antoine Semenyo. Notably, Thomas Partey has been dropped to the bench for this match.
The Black Stars will be hoping to secure another win against Angola to boost their chances of qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations.
With Hughton at the helm, the team will be looking to build on their recent successes and continue to improve their performances.
While injuries can disrupt a team’s plans, Hughton’s changes demonstrate his ability to adapt and make the necessary adjustments to ensure his team is ready to face their opponents.
The Black Stars will need to be at their best to secure another win against Angola, but with the talent and experience in the team, they will be confident of getting a positive result.
