The 2022 FIFA World cup is gradually coming to an end. The third and fourth-place match has come to a successful end and the various prizes are now clear and known to the whole world. The tough match was played between Morocco and Croatia. It will interest you to note that, Croatia and Morocco emerged from the same group and they all ended up in the semifinals.
On Saturday, 17th December 2022 the game between Morocco and Croatia ended in favor of Croatia. Morocco conceded two goals from their opponent; Croatia only conceded a goal from Morocco. Currently, Croatia has won third place in the 2022 FIFA World Cup held in Qatar.
There was a great performance from Croatia. History and face recall that, in 2018, the Croatian team was able to reach the finals. Unfortunately, they were defeated in the finals by France.
In this year’s world cup, Croatia put in maximum effort to qualify from the group stages. Croatia was runner-up from their group as Morocco tops the group table. Croatia was able to defeat Brazil in the Quarterfinals. Many thought Brazil would have their way through into the semifinals by winning against Croatia. But the opposite happens.
Croatia won on penalties 4:2 against Brazil. But they lost to Argentina in the semifinals after conceding 3 goals. Gvardiol on the side of the Croatian team broke the virginity of the game in the 7th (seventh) minute. Two (2) minutes after the first goal in the game, Dari on the side of the Morocco team scored to make the scorelines balanced.
The whip which breaks the camel back was the goal from Orsic from the side of Morocco in the 42nd minute of the game. At the end of the final whistle, Croatia received the bronze medal. This is a great achievement to Luka Modric and the entire team for being runner-up in 2018 and finishing in third place in Qatar 2022 FIFA World cup.
