Addai-Nimoh sets out three conditions for NPP to “break the 8”

Addai-Nimoh ‘s Three Conditions for NPP’s 2024 Success: “Breaking the 8”

Flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Francis Addai-Nimoh, is optimistic about the NPP’s chances in the 2024 elections. He believes that the party can achieve the much-discussed goal of “breaking the 8” and securing victory for a third consecutive term. In a recent interview on the Asaase Breakfast Show, Addai-Nimoh laid out three key conditions that he believes must be met for the NPP to succeed in the upcoming elections.

Addai-Nimoh sets out three conditions for NPP to “break the 8”

1. Internal Unity: Addai-Nimoh emphasizes the importance of internal unity within the party. He asserts that a divided party cannot effectively mobilize its forces for an external battle. The cohesion and strength of the party’s members are vital in securing a victory in 2024.

2. Government Performance: The performance of the NPP-led government under Nana Akufo-Addo is another critical factor. The outcomes of the government’s policies and actions will significantly impact the party’s standing in the eyes of the electorate.

3. Choice of Party Leader: The third condition Addai-Nimoh highlights is the selection of the party’s leader, who will represent the NPP in the 2024 elections. The choice of the right candidate to lead the party can play a pivotal role in the party’s success.

Addai-Nimoh remains confident in his own prospects, stating that he expects to secure about 30% of the total votes in the upcoming election on November 4th. He believes that this election may go to a run-off, which could serve as a process for achieving unity within the party. In a run-off scenario, Addai-Nimoh would work to gain the support of others, reinforcing the importance of internal unity as a key factor in the NPP’s path to victory.
