Ghana Education News latest College of Education news indicates that BagaBaga CoE students’ results have not been released but they are being forced to resit the exam.
In the natural order of things, students cannot register for a resit when they do not know the results of the examination. However, information reaching Ghanaeducation.org indicates that the management of the school has directed final year students of the college to register for the resit.
Following this management directive, disgruntled and unhappy level 400 students of BagaBaga college of education in the northern region, Tamale, who are doing their internship program (teaching practice) find themselves in a serious and painful situation as management of the school has withheld their level 300 second semester results and has instructed all students to register for the resit of the exam when the school has failed to make the result public.
Although the resit examination for the withheld results has been scheduled for 29th November 2021, Bagabaga students do not know who has a referred paper and who does not. The students do not also know which particular curse they are to resit. A cross-section of the affected students believe this goes against the principles of fairness and maxims of equity if applied.
The current posture of management has put students in a confused state.
According to information available to Ghanaeducation.org, the general list from UCC made it clear that most of the students of the named college have did not do well in the examination but the school has not released the results either.
“Here that our right has been denied by management, we don’t even know who is to resit, not alone the courses one has to resit for”… A sad student disclosed.
The unilateral ruling of management’s that students must pay their level 400 school fees before having access to their level 300 results has been described as unfair by students.
Come to think of this, the behavior of management is wrong because the students have paid their level 300 fees that relate to the said examination and should not be coerced to pay their level 400 fees before they can access their previous results.
“We are not owning any fees of that semester, yet we can’t see our results”. One of the students said while reacting to the directive.”
The trainees are currently in a state of distress and unrest of mind and thoughts and are experiencing sleepless nights in the wake of this entrenched position by the college management saying “pay your level 400 school fees before having access to your level 300 second semester results.”
All calls, negotiations, pleads by students’ bodies; and even some lecturers for the college management to rescind its decision had so far proved unsuccessful.

Despite the out programme challenges labeled against students; renting of places to stay for the programme, feeding has become a major challenge, project work of which hard copies are printed every often, T & T from homes to the assigned schools, the worst of it all: no payment of trainees’ allowance for the past 9 months management has turned a blind eye to these draconian we are going through. we are calling on all stakeholders to intervene on this matter before we do something worst that we are not ready to disclose now.

We can not sit down and watch our 4 years’ sufferings go in vain. We are not ready to be ridiculed. Our rights have been jeopardized by the college management! We need our results by the level 400 students of Bagabaga College of Education.
