Buy Power For The Festive Season, We Are Breaking Soon – ECG To Ghanaians

Electricity Company of Ghana has once again urged all customers buy power (credit) for the festive season which will carry them through the Christmas and the New Year period.

This is because its offices would be closed during the Christmas holidays.

During festive seasons like the Christmas holidays, it is always likely that customers will be stranded, finding power to buy because most of its outlet vendors are not going to work during the festive season, therefore the decision to alert consumers to buy enough for their households.

However, it is expected that sales persons at the ECG offices will continue to work during the holidays so that customers who may troop in to their offices can have power to buy.

It could be recalled that in 2021(a year ago), Mr Benjamin Quarcoo, Western Regional Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the ECG revealed ECG would offices would not be opened to customers on 25th December, 2021

Mr Quarcoo added that all customers are to buy enough credit which will enable them have power for over a week. Also, services on the ECG App had been restored and for that matter, customers who might experience unreflected payment on their meter could report through the App.

He explained that the App could be used for other services such as reporting faults, reporting power outages, and making general enquiries in addition to the payment of bills and purchasing of power.

While advising prepaid clients to buy enough power for the festive season, he also reminded all customers on post-paid to pay their bills promptly to enjoy continued electricity supply during and after the festive season and cautioned against illegal connection since it amounted to criminal offence and has dire consequences on the finances of the company.

Mr Quarcoo expressed the profound gratitude of the ECG to its loyal customers and the media in the region for their support throughout the year, positioning the Company to serve the public better.
