Collapse NADMO, military do every disaster management in this country

“Collapse NADMO and allow the military to do every disaster management in this country” is the trending comment left on the CITI News Facebook post which has got many citizens talking and supporting the call.
Ghanaians have begun calling for the National Desaster Management Organization (NADMO) to be dissolved and their responsibilities transferred to the Ghana Army.
The call comes after the Ghana Army activated Operation BOAFO, a search and rescue operation to assist civil authorities including NADMO during yesterday’s downpour.
In line with the operation, the 48 Engineer Regiment of the Ghana Army set out to various flood-prone communities in the city to rescue people, especially women and children including the elderly who may have been in danger as a result of the floods.
Areas of the operation included, OSU, Accra central, Kaneshie, Nungua Barrier, Circle, and Odokor among other areas. Pictures that surfaced online and published by CitiNews has got Ghanaians reacting to the heroic works of the military during Operation BOAFO.
Some comments by Ghanaians and reactions …
The cathedral is better than what you are doing. We build the cathedral for God to sleep inside so that the angels will come from heaven to construct our drainage system for us.
Collapse NADMO and allow the military to do every disaster management in this country
Once the cathedral is built, all these problems will be solved and we won’t need to divert our men in uniform on rescue missions during city floods……
God will work it out
In my country, we study all topics in mathematics including Coordinate Geometry, where the emphasis is laid on GRADIENT/SLOPE without ever considering their practicality.
Most urban roads are without slight slopes & gutters for free flow of rainwater & settlements are poorly planned. Here we are risking the lives of innocent Ghanaians; someone’s husband, father, uncle – breadwinner…etc.
We need to get serious!
The highest form of f**lishness only in Africa countries like Ghana you will see this type of mediocrity. They say prevent the problem and you be waiting for it to happen before finding this stupid remedy to justify your non-sense as such!!! Dem sell we out
