Job Vacancy For Underwriter- Life Insurance
A highly reputable International Insurance Company requires the services of Insurance Underwriter to help with its operations in Ghana.
Key responsibilities
• Assessing the level of risk associated with insuring individuals or organization.
• Review insurance applications and supporting documentation, such as medical records or financial statements, to determine eligibility for coverage.
• Calculate possible risk and decide on the premium – how much individuals or organisations should pay for insurance
• Decide whether the risk should be shared with a reinsurer
• Liaise with specialists, such as surveyors or doctors, for risk assessment, and develop good working relationships with brokers
• Negotiate and define precise insurance policy conditions with brokers or policyholders.
• Ensure that premiums are competitive and that accounts remain profitable
• Communicate with clients to explain coverage options, premiums, and other relevant information related to their policies.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Degree holder from any recognized institution in Ghana.
• Prior Experience as Insurance Underwriter
• Strong analytical skills are essential
