KNUST Invites Prospective Medicine and Dentistry Students To 2025 Entrance Exam
The School of Medical Sciences (SMS) and the School of Dentistry (SoD) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have officially released the schedule for the 2025/2026 entrance examinations and interviews. This marks an important milestone for all prospective students aspiring to study BSc. Human Biology (Medicine) and BSc. Human Biology (Dentistry).
The entrance examinations will take place on Wednesday, 10th December 2025, starting promptly at 8:00 a.m. Candidates are expected to report early at the Lecture Hall Complex, Boadi Medical Enclave, to allow for registration and orientation. Prospective candidates are strongly advised to come fully prepared, bringing along all required documents, including their examination slips and valid identification. Punctuality is critical, as late arrivals may be denied entry.
This examination is designed to test not just academic knowledge, but also the aptitude, focus, and potential of candidates who aspire to become professionals in Medicine and Dentistry. Following the written exam, successful candidates will be invited for interviews, which form an integral part of the selection process.

The School of Medical Sciences (SMS) and the School of Dentistry (SoD) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) wish to inform all prospective applicants that the Entrance Examination and Interview for admission into the BSc. Human Biology (Medicine) and BSc. Human Biology (Dentistry) programmes are scheduled as follows:
- Date: Wednesday, 10th December, 2025

Examination Format
Applicants will write 100 multiple-choice questions covering:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Mathematics
- Verbal/Quantitative Reasoning
Eligible Applicants
- A-Level Applicants
- Aggregate 08 or better
- Required subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Paper
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Applicants
- WASSCE Applicants – BSc. Human Biology (Medicine)
- Aggregate 8 or better
- WASSCE Applicants – BSc. Human Biology (Dentistry)
- Aggregate 12 or better
Aggregate Calculation (WASSCE):
- 3 Core Subjects (English, Integrated Science, Core Mathematics)
- 3 Elective Subjects (Chemistry, Biology, and either Physics or Elective Mathematics)
Items to Bring to the Examination Venue
- Two (2) HB Pencils
- Two (2) Pens
- One (1) Eraser
- One (1) Scientific Calculator
- National ID (e.g., Ghana Card)
- Two (2) Passport-Sized Photographs
Prohibited Items
The following items are not allowed in the exam hall and interview areas:
- Mobile Phones
- Wristwatches
Any breach of this directive will result in automatic disqualification.
