Presbyterian Church Supports Science Lab Projects At Legon Presec
Presbyterian Church of Ghana has supported the three ongoing science laboratory projects at Presec Legon.
The Church presented a cheque for GH¢300,000 to the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC) at Legon in Accra in support of three science laboratory projects in the school.
At a ceremony held in Accra on Wednesday 1st March 2023 at the Head Office of the PCG to present the cheque to the Headmaster of the school, Mr. David Odjidja, the Moderator of the General Assembly of the PCG, Rt. Rev. Prof. Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante, reiterated the church’s commitment to its educational institutions and said that other institutions of the church have received similar support.
He also promised that others would also receive similar financial support in due course.
Rt. Rev. Prof. Mante said PRESEC is currently one of the best SHS schools in the country, therefore everything possible would be done to continue to improve upon academic standards.

He, therefore, urged the headmaster and staff of the school not to rest on their oars but work hard at all times to stay at the top.
The Headmaster of the school Mr. David Odjidja thanked the Church for the donation and promised to use it for the intended purpose.
PRESEC is the only school in Ghana to win the National Science and Maths Quiz Competition seven times.
Present at the ceremony were Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor, Clerk of the General Assembly of the PCG, and the General Manager of the Presbyterian Schools who double as Director of Education at the Head Office of the Church.
This is not the first time the church is making such donation to the school. The church is well known for making several donations to various institutions in the country, including orphanages, schools and other governmental initiatives.
