quickly informed her elder sister. With a smile, her sister assured her that she was experiencing a natural

(b) Explain four reasons why cultural rites are performed to transition girls into adulthood. (12 marks)
(c) Identify four moral challenges commonly faced by adolescents. (4 marks)
3. During a religious studies lesson, Mr. Suleiman asked his students to explain one of the Five Pillars of
Islam. He randomly selected Kwame, gave him the term “Sawm,” and asked him to provide an
explanation with an example.
(a) How would you explain “Sawm” with an example? (5 marks)
(b) In any three ways, discuss the benefits of observing Sawm. (9 marks)
(c) List three of the compulsory daily prayers in Islam and their respective times of observation.

4. In a small town, the community leaders noticed that many young people were becoming idle and
unproductive. Concerned about the future of their town, they organized a youth empowerment program
