Current the Criminal  Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service have taken over the investigation into the death of the 16-year-old student at Aburi Girls Senior High School.

The circumstances surrounding the student’s death, particularly the allegations that she was denied medical attention by the school nurse despite complaining of severe stomach pains, are deeply concerning.

The family’s accusations of neglect on the part of the school management have added another layer of complexity to the situation. It’s evident that there are significant questions that need to be answered regarding the events leading up to the student’s passing and the actions, or lack thereof, taken by the school authorities.

The involvement of the CID signifies the need for a thorough and impartial investigation to uncover the truth and ensure accountability where necessary. This is a matter of utmost importance, not only for the grieving family seeking closure but also for the wider community and educational institutions to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future.

As the investigation unfolds, it’s imperative for all parties involved to cooperate fully and for transparency to prevail. Ultimately, the goal is to bring about justice and ensure that lessons are learned to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
