PRESEC Legon 1999 Year Group Unveils a State-of-the-Art Artificial Intelligence Lab

In an inspiring move that blends nostalgia with innovation, the 1999 year group of Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School, Legon, has launched a groundbreaking initiative to establish an ultra-modern Artificial Intelligence lab at their alma mater.

Dubbed the “Odadeɛ ’99 eXperience Center,” the project marks a significant step towards integrating advanced technology in educational settings.

During the sod-cutting ceremony on April 10, Mr. Wonder Madilo, the president of the 1999 year group, shared insights into the ambitious vision for the AI lab.

The center is not just about mastering the technicalities of AI and robotics; it’s about shaping empathetic and responsible leaders equipped to use technology for the greater good.

“The Odadeɛ ’99 eXperience Center will serve as a bridge connecting academia and the vibrant AI industry,” Mr. Madilo explained.

“Our goal is to prepare our students to not only participate in but also drive the next wave of technological innovation.”

Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, the Odadeɛ Global President, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the need to prepare students to leverage AI tools for societal benefits, considering the technology’s growing influence across multiple sectors.

As the construction of the Odadeɛ ’99 eXperience Center progresses, it stands as a beacon of progress, symbolizing a forward-thinking approach to education that other institutions might well emulate.
