The WASSCE Christian Religious Studies (CRS) Trial Questions for the years 2022-2025 are provided here to aid candidates in their preparation for the next WASSCE.

Students can compare their stamina and preparation for the exam against trial or prior questions by using trial questions. These questions can also be used to start a conversation among students. They can be used by teachers to assess their students’ comprehension of the concepts and subjects addressed in the questions.

The WASSCE Christian Religious Studies (CRS) Trial Questions for the years 2022-2025 are offered here for candidates from Ghana, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone who are taking the WASSCE.

Common WAEC Christian Religious Studies Questions Paper Arrangements

The paper will be divided into two halves, commonly referred to as Papers 1 and 2, each of which will be a composite paper to be completed in one sitting.

PAPER 1: You will be given fifty multiple-choice objective questions to answer in one hour for a total of 40 points.

PAPER 2: There will be nine essay-style questions on this paper. Candidates will be given two hours to answer four questions for a total of 60 points.

 

The questions will be divided into sections:

1. Section A: Old Testament Themes – four questions.

2. Section B: Three questions based on themes from the Synoptic Gospels.

3. Section C: Two questions based on themes from the Acts of the Apostles, James, and I Peter.

 3 a) Give an account of the persecution suffered by Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego
b) What three lessons can be learnt from their experience?
4 a) Discuss Hosea’s marriage with Gomer.
b) Draw out three virtues of Hosea which are worthy or emulation.

  1. Genesis 1:1-31
    (a) Narrate the dreams of Pharaoh
    (b) In what three ways did the interpretation of the dreams affect Joseph and his people?
  2. Exodus 3, 4: 1-17
    (a) Describe the call of Moses
    (b)Mention three excuses Moses gave against the call.
  3. 1Kings 16:29 – 33,18:1-19
    (a) Give an account of the meeting between Elijah and Obadiah.
    (b) What two lessons can be learnt from the encounter?
    ANS: Points include (i) The introduction of Baal worship in Israel by Jezebel Ahab’s wife.
    (ii) This brought famine to Israel for three and half years.
    (iii) Obadiah’s the man in charge of Ahab’s household fed one hundred prophets of God.
    (iv) While Obadiah was searching for water, he met Elijah.
    (v) He asked Obadiah to report his presence to the king.

  1. 1st Peter 5:5-11
    (a) Highlight Peter’s teaching on Humility.

  2. Matthew 4: 1 -11
    (a) Give the account of the temptation of Jesus as recorded in Matthew’s Gospel.
    (b)State three points of significance in this story.

  1. Galatians 3: 23 – 2 (l, 4: 1-7)
    (a)With reference to the book of Galatians, state any six factors that make unbelievers become children of God.

  2. Romans 12:3-8
    (a) What was Paul’s counsel concerning the use of spiritual gifts in the Church?
    (b) List three ways in which spiritual gifts are misused today.
  3. 2Cor 9:1-15
    (a) Highlight the teaching of Paul on Christian giving as contained in Corinthians.
    (b) In what two ways can people benefit from giving?
    ANS: Some vital points are:
    (i) The gifts sent to Paul were fragrant offerings, a sacrifice pleasing and acceptable to God.
    (ii) That God would provide for their needs according to His riches and glory.
    (iii) He was proud and boasted of the gifts to the Macedonians.
    (iv) Paul said he who sows sparingly will reap sparingly and visa versa.
