The Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Prof Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa has revealed that the 2022 school placement will be released from March 14, 2022.
This means from Monday, the 14th day of March, the GES will be announcing and also releasing the school placements on the CSSPS portal. The GES often posts an official press release to inform the public that it has released the school placements. This update simply means that between Monday, 14th March and Saturday 19th March, BECE graduates should expect the release of the school placement.
Refusing to disclose the number of students to be placed this year, the Director-General said, “what we are currently doing is looking at the attrition figures to come out with the exact number of students who qualified for placement.”
It has been three weeks since WAEC released the 2021 BECE results and students are required to report to school on the 4th of April 2022.
“Every year we have three types of students we processed for placement. The three categories of students are regular students thus those who sat for the BECE for School, the private BECE students, and foreign students,” he stated.
According to the CSSPS official, BECE graduates are placed into various public secondary schools based on their grades and raw scores they had after the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) released BECE results. In a related development, the Ghana Education Service has disclosed CSSPS 2021 BECE students who qualify to get Free SHS placement.
