The 2024 NBA trade deadline already occurred on Thursday, February 8th, 2024, at 3:00 PM Eastern Time.
In order to strengthen their rosters for the latter part of the regular season and the playoffs, several clubs made trades. A few of the largest agreements were:
- The New York Knicks acquiring Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks from the Detroit Pistons.
- The Dallas Mavericks acquiring Daniel Gafford and P.J. Washington.
- The Minnesota Timberwolves acquiring Monte Morris.
As indicated earlier, the 2024 NBA trade deadline already passed on Thursday, February 8th, 2024, at 3 PM Eastern Time. There won’t be any more trades made involving current NBA players until the offseason.

However, there are other upcoming deadlines related to the NBA:
June 20th, 2024: This is the deadline for teams to submit their draft lottery selections. The draft lottery determines the order in which teams will select players in the upcoming NBA Draft.
June 27th, 2024: This is the deadline for teams to guarantee contracts for the coming season. Any player whose contract is not guaranteed by this date will become a free agent.

June 28th, 2024: This is the NBA Draft.
July 6th, 2024: This is the first day that free agents can negotiate with teams.
July 8th, 2024: This is the deadline for teams to sign their own free agents to offer sheets. Offer sheets allow other teams to make offers to restricted free agents, and the original team has the right to match the offer.
Aug 10th, 2024: This is the last day for teams to waive players without their salaries counting against the salary cap for the following season.
