Government has Declared March 6 as a Public Holiday Ghana' Independence Day

Live coverage of Ghana’s 67th Independence Day celebration. The celebration is being held in Koforidua. The celebration is under the theme, “Our Democracy, Our Pride.”

School children drawn from public and private schools in basic and second-cycle schools, school cadets, and officers drawn from the various security services will be marching on the day to mark Ghana’s 6th Independence.

On March 7, 2024, schools will have a one-day break in addition to the public holiday declared for March 6. On the 7th, school children and teachers can also visit military installations in their respective regions to experience military activities and learn more about the Ghan Armed Forces. The open day at the various military installations starts at 8 am and ends at 2 pm.

Happy birthday to our Lovely Mother Ghana, Today is the 67th Independence Day celebration, yes, but seriously, the citizens are not mentally and financially independent.
