2025 BECE School Placement Portal to Go Live Between 5pm and 6pm Today

A reliable source has disclosed to Ghana Education News that the Ministry of Education (MoE) is preparing to activate the 2025 BECE School Placement Portal between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm today. This comes after weeks of anticipation by students, parents, and guardians eager to know their Senior High School (SHS) or Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) placements.

Anticipation Across Ghana

The Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) portal is the official platform for checking school placements. Candidates who successfully sat and passed the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) will use this system to find out their assigned schools. According to the source, “the portal will likely go live in the early evening, allowing parents and students to begin checking placements without delay.”

This timeline gives clarity to thousands of families who have been anxiously waiting for the release, following the Ministry’s earlier announcement that placements would be out on Wednesday, 17th September 2025.

How to Check Your Placement

Once the portal goes live, students can follow these steps:

1. Visit the official placement website: www.cssps.gov.gh

3. Enter your index number and add 25 at the end to indicate the examination year.

4. Input your date of birth.

   

5. Click “Sign In” to view your placement.

Where a student qualifies but is not automatically placed in any of their chosen schools, the Self-Placement Module will be available to select from schools with vacancies.

Free of Charge for 2025

The Ministry of Education has emphasized that checking placements in 2025 is completely free of charge. Parents and guardians are therefore advised not to pay anyone for placement services. Any attempt by individuals to extort money should be reported to the Ghana Police Service and the Office of the Special Prosecutor.
