REQUIREMENTS

  • Document search in the DVLA’s database to find out if the license you seek to replace actually exists.

  • Payment of the prescribed fees, which is the cost of replacement.

  • Filling of the appropriate Forms filled with the relevant iodata  and information on your license, such as your Licence date, number, etc.

  • Authentication of Driver’s Licence by the DVLA authorities

  • Eye test to confirm your sight is good enough to drive

  • Any other test DVLA may prescribe

  • Issuance of a cover note to confirm that your process to get your license replaced is successful.

  • Collection of the license at a later date, which will be made known to the driver when the cover note is issued. Usually, it takes 3 months for the driver’s license to be ready for collection.
