The Education News Consult has made available for download its December 2025 BECE Mathematics Mock Question. You will, however, make a big mistake by not reading the critical information provided below before downloading the questions.
Key observations: Students’ performance on our Mathematics papers
In the last three mock examinations conducted by Education-News Consult, the following worrying weaknesses have been exhibited by students. Mathematics teachers have a lot to do if they are to prepare their students for success on the mathematics papers.
- Students still have glaring challenges with fractions, construction, graphs, and percentages.
- Other learners have a strong weakness when it comes to algebra. Factorization and simplification are a headache for many candidates.
- It is sad to indicate that most students have forgotten the basics they learned in basic 7 and 8, which is making it difficult for them to do well.
- Again, some students show no workings. Others show incomplete workings.
- Students constantly present their answers in a poor manner.
- Students are unable to solve most objective test questions. This is an indication that learners have a general weakness in the basics of the mathematics paper.
- One would have expected final-year students to solve two sets of problems easily, but we have noticed that it is still a challenge for some students.
- Teachers need to constantly give assessments to learners on the above-mentioned areas to keep learners active.
- Learners should be advised to read and understand mathematics questions, especially those that demand some level of critical thinking, before they attempt them.

How to download the Education-News Consult December 2025 BECE Mathematics Mock Question
The mathematics paper shared here contains two sets of questions. These are the objective test questions and the subjective test question.
In solving these questions, teachers should insist on learners showing workings and presenting answers in an orderly manner. Answers should also be clearly written. Where an answer needs to be cancelled or crossed through, it must be done in a neat manner.
Learners should also revise questions and topics they had challenges in solving.
