45 students secure tertiary scholarships from relief and aid international

45 intelligent but financially weak students have been rewarded with scholarships to have access to tertiary education by a generous Non-Governmental Organisation known as Relief and Aid International, a humanitarian non-governmental organisation.
The prices were given out at a event organised at the AMA Omanye Aba City Hall last Saturday in Accra. The ceremony which captivated beneficiaries from over the educational, traditional, diplomatic and Non-Governmental Organisation, was organised on the subject matter “Beyond the Aid & Unveiling the Future”.
The event honoured not just academic performance but the life-changing potential of changes. It pinpointed the rising necessity for supporting financially for tertiary education in Ghana mostly at times when increasing school fees, expensive leaving expenses, and growing student debt are intimidating to distract the aspirations of several trained young people.
The scholarships were given to students following programmes in agriculture, medicine, nursing, political science, accounting, food and nutrition, marketing, law and Bachelor of Science in education. Peggy Naa Ayikailey Adamafio, The Founder and President of the organisation, said the young people stands for the future of Ghana and must be provided every chance to prosper and succeed. She highlighted that education, specifically in the health sector, was essential to the development of the country and that financing in qualified young people now was a financing in the future of Ghana.
The founder cried out on all sectors of society to unite in helping the upcoming generation. She stated that, “It is our local duty to make sure that the youth now, must fully know their capabilities and are provided the chances to implement improvement in their lives.” Madam Adamafio showed her appreciation, with praises offered to persons and universities who had helped the work of the institution, both in Ghana and abroad.
Dr. Clement Apaak, The Deputy Minister of Education, commended Relief and Aid International for harmonising with the government’s attempt in enhancing even-handed ingress to education. He said, it is a confirmation of our joint dedication to ease students from impoverished and destitute backgrounds.
He stated that, the theme, “Beyond the Aid, Unveiling the Future”, indicated the significance of switching from short-term aid to long-term funding in young people. To the people who received the awards, the minister requested them to perceive the help not only as an award but as a duty to render services, to steer, and to elevate others.
