50-year-old woman arrested for stealing 2-year-old girl into bucket

Residents in Mankessim, Mfantseman Municipality, arrested a 50-year-old woman for allegedly stealing a 2-year-old baby into a margarine bucket.

Nana Adom reported on Onua News Friday, November 4, 2022, that the woman was sitting on a margarine bucket behind the girl’s house.

Her unfamiliarity with the area made residents suspicious. They tried talking to her, but she refused.

“We tried asking her questions but she insisted on not talking to us; we intentionally ignored the suspect but were monitoring her movement,” residents said.

Nana Adom said the woman grabbed the two-year-old playing and squeezed her into the bucket.

She was chased by suspicious residents when she started moving with the baby on her head.

After realizing she was being followed, the woman dropped the bucket and ran for her life.
