Aim higher as WASSCE candidates – Dr. Apaak to Final Students
Dr. Apaak has tasked all final 2025 WASSCE candidates to aim higher as they sit their secondary school exiting examinaton.
As final-year students across the Ashanti Region embark on the crucial journey of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), they received the powerful message of encouragement from the Deputy Minister for Education, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak. During his recent visits to Kumasi Academy, St. Louis Senior High School, and KNUST Senior High School, Dr. Apaak delivered heartfelt words that resonated deeply with both students and educators.

Aim higher as WASSCE candidates call
Addressing the candidates, Dr. Apaak emphasized the limitless potential that lies ahead for every student, regardless of the path they choose. “I have no doubt that I will be seeing most of you in the next stage, be it university, technical university, college of education, nursing training, agricultural college, or TVET. Whatever you decide to do, I know you’ll be successful,” he stated. His message was clear: success is not defined by a single route, but by determination, hard work, and the courage to pursue one’s dreams.
Dr. Apaak’s visits were not just ceremonial; they were a testament to the government’s unwavering confidence in the youth of Ghana. He praised the dedication and resilience shown by students in preparing for the WASSCE, acknowledging the challenges they have overcome, especially in a rapidly changing educational landscape. “Your commitment is inspiring, and the government stands firmly behind you. We believe in your abilities to excel and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development,” Dr. Apaak assured.
The Deputy Minister also highlighted the diverse opportunities available to graduates, encouraging them to consider all options, including vocational and technical education. By doing so, he underscored the importance of every career path in building a robust and dynamic workforce for Ghana’s future.
As the WASSCE progresses, Dr. Apaak’s words serve as both motivation and reassurance. His visit reflects the Ministry of Education’s dedication to student success and the broader goal of nurturing well-rounded, capable citizens. Students are reminded that with perseverance and the right mindset, they can achieve their aspirations and make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
