The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has released today’s official exchange rates and gold coin prices. The respective figures were published at noon today, according to checks by the Ghana Education News portal.
BoG Gold Coin Prices for Today
Per the official release, the BoG quotes three different prices for the Ghana gold coins currently offered for sale.
A 0.25 oz gold coin is selling for GH₵ 14,138.32.
A coin containing 0.50 oz is priced at GH₵ 27,538.99.
The 1.00 oz gold coin is selling at GH₵ 54,385.32.

BoG Foreign Exchange Rates for Today
While the Bank of Ghana interbank rates for the three major currencies remain stable, retail rates at forex bureaus and the open market continue to vary.
The US Dollar (USD) is currently selling at GH₵ 11.0255, while the official buying rate is GH₵ 11.0145. For the British Pound (GBP), the selling and buying prices are GH₵ 14.8006 and GH₵ 14.7847, respectively.
Finally, the Euro (EUR) is quoted with a buying rate of GH₵ 12.8641 and a selling rate of GH₵ 12.8757. These rates represent the interbank average used by commercial banks at the close of business.

Our investigations from some of the local commercial banks give different rates. Cedirates.com data captured as of 1:15 pm showed that Prudential Bank was buying a dollar at GHS 10.88 and selling to customers at GHS 11.62. The First National Bank was doing GHS 10.95 and GHS 11.14 for both buying and selling of the dollar.
