Sawua community (STEM) Senior High School construction to start
As part of the government’s effort to introduce STEM education at the secondary school level, the Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum
performed a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Senior High School in the Sawua community, Bosumtwe District, Ashanti Region.
The Sawua community (STEM) Senior High School when completed to add to other similar schools being constructed by the government.
Hon. Adutwum during the event stated that the building of the School formed part of the agenda of the government of H.E. President Nana Addo to leverage Science and Technology for socio-economic transformation of the country.
He noted that Sod will be cut for other STEM SHS in other communities in the country soon.
The education edifice when completed will be a 21st century Senior High School for STEM education and would improve access to quality education.
The coming on board of Sawua community (STEM) SHS and other STEM SHSs will also add more space for the admission of BECE graduates into Free SHS.
