Teacher Kwadwo: If I get the chance, I’ll never fight GES again | Facts Checked

Publications by top media houses including Peace Fm online and Admoonline that Teacher Kwadwo has said “If I get the chance, I’ll never fight GES again” have been debunked.

Peace Fm’s content is still live with the headline read: GES Saga: ‘If God Gives Me Another Chance I’ll Never Involve Myself In That Campaign Again’ – Teacher Kwadwo. However, the publication byadomonline.com has been pulled down.

Peace FM’s story reads:

Popular Ghanaian Teacher Michael Owusu Afriyie known as Teacher Kwadwo has sarcastically resolved  never to campaign against Ghana Education Service (GES) if he gets the opportunity to go back to the classroom.

Teacher Kwadwo was sacked by Ghana Education Service for what they called his misconduct and breaching the rules of the service, a decision he had earlier vowed to challenge.

The embattled teacher prior to his dismissal embarked on the #FixGES campaign to push the service and government to fix challenges affecting teachers and the Education Sector affecting teaching and learning.

Addressing an audience at Luv and Laugh Show held at Kumasi City Mall, he said “There is nothing wrong with Ghana Education Service, everything is smooth at that Ghana Education Service”.

“Sometimes I receive calls from my colleague teachers who always motivate me to continue to put GES on their toes but when I go hungry they will never see,” he mocked

According to him, “some will say Teacher Kwadwo, we are solidly behind you, continue to do your best till they fix GES but they don’t know I have not received My salary for a month”.

He added, “If God gives me another chance, I’ll never involve myself in that campaign again”.

“…I have been fired, so I’m sad”, he also sarcastically ended the show.

 TEACHER KWADWO debunks publication

Teacher Kwadwo took to his official Facebook page to indicate the publication was full of lies and therefore false.

Teacher Kwadwo wrote…

I have seen these LIES of a caption being spread on social media. I don’t know who started it but lemme make things clear here.
I, TEACHER KWADWO have never & will never BEG anyone to take me back anywhere.
I know what I am doing and will never look back.
I haven’t regretted anything and I will never ever feel remorseful for doing something GOOD.
I am for the betterment of Ghana Education & that’s what I stand for!
It’s sad how these bloggers will choose to DESTROY you instead of helping you to push a good course.
These same bloggers and media houses will act like they have the betterment of the country at heart.
How did you people even push the “FIXGES” campaign?
So, what is the purpose of these lies? to get Numbers and make money?
So, y’all prefer making money through EVIL means than to see Ghana and her Education prosper eh?
We live to see!
