The government of Ghana has paid the 15% agreed COLA for two months. Confirmed information available to Ghana Education News is that,
Salary Payment Voucher for August 2022 is ready for validation for public sector workers and checks confirmed the payment of two months’ COLA.
Teachers who are yet to validate their August 2022 payment voucher should log on to www.gogspv.com to validate their Payment Voucher.
The above means that government will pay four (4) more COLA from September to December 2022. Per the agreement, public sector workers will receive the 15% COLA up to December 2022.
Days ahead of the Salary Payment Validation, the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) informed teachers and public sector workers that government would pay the 15% COLA payment.

According to the Memo sent to members of the association, Thomas T. Musah, The General Secretary, the much-awaited COLA would be paid effective August 2022, and once the first payment is made, there will be five more payments. The memo further disclosed that the payment will end in December 2022.
However, the memo signed by the General Secretary was silent on whether the July arrears will be paid along with the COLA for August 2022, however, the COLA for July and August have been paid by the government.
