  2. Type recipient’s number thus code 151. This is the number you are sending the test to activate the service on your phone.
  3. Create a message. The Message should be just Mb.  Yes just the two-letter word Mb
  4. Send the message Mb you typed to MTN via the 151 recipient code.
  5. Wait for the feedback. The first feedback would be “Request successfully received, you will be notified shortly after processing”
  6. If you qualify you may receive a message like this. “Thanks for using your new phone on MTN. You have been rewarded with Data Freebies of 2 gig each month for 6 months. Welcome to the New World!” or you may get 500M
  7. If you qualify for the free data, you will receive between 500M and 2Gig data from MTN for six months.
