Private School teachers with Certificates in Education before 2018 are to be awarded Teacher License. The qualifications to be considered are professional teachers with Certificate A, Diploma, Degree, Masters in EDUCATION, and other recognized qualifications obtained before the year 2018.
There are many professionally trained teachers providing enviable services in the private education sector.
The teacher license certificate to be awarded to these teachers would raise them to the status of professional teachers per the new NTC policy.

However, those who fall outside the above would have to undergo training before they can be issued with the Teacher License.
According to the National Council of Private School Teachers (NCOPST) it is working in collaboration with The National Teaching Council (NTC) to ensure the NTC offers Teacher License Education to private school teachers in the country.
All private school teachers are expected to pay Ghc200 to the NTC for their Teacher License.
Teacher License Education for Private Schools will be held on the 27th day of January 2021 from 7 pm to 9 pm. Mr. Dennis Osei – Owusu, NTC PRO, would lead the training session. This was contained in a presser by the (NCOPST) copied to Ghanaeducation.org.
The National Council of Private School Teachers is leading in the acquisition of Teacher License for her members (Private School Teachers in Ghana): It added.
(NCOPST) has therefore called on all teachers in private schools who meet the above requirement to Teachers should pay Ghc200 to NTC for Teacher License. The Teacher License certificate for trained teachers in private schools is a timely intervention led by the National Council of Private School Teachers.
(NCOPST) has called on all teachers to be part of the upcoming orientation on the Teacher License.
