Beverly Afaglo blasts hospitals over several celebrity deaths
Actress Beverly Afaglo Baah has said that the lack of care in some African hospitals led to the deaths of several celebrities.
She said in an Instagram post on Friday that it’s time for people to talk about how inefficient some of these facilities are.
Beverly was talking about the sudden deaths of Ekow Blankson, Prince Yawson, also known as “Waakye,” and, most recently, Rico, a former Big Brother Naija contestant.

“It’s scary how often our famous people are dying in hospitals. All of this carelessness and cruelty by our nurses needs to be talked about. All of these things can only happen in Africa, where most health workers are only interested in making money and not in saving lives.

Dear Hospital Owner: When a celebrity dies in your hospital, it’s bad for your brand and makes your hospital look bad and incompetent,” she wrote.
I had my own car when I was 23, and we’re not broke, says Beverly Afaglo
“These nurses are busy recording celebrities for content and gossip, and others are on their phones on social media, following trending news, or talking to their boyfriends instead of saving lives. Too many well-known people have died too quickly this year. How do you feel when you know you could have saved that famous person’s life? You’ll always feel guilty,” she said.
She then gave some ideas about how to deal with her worries. “I think our nurses should put their phones in their lockers and put them on silent when they get to work. They should only be able to use them during their 30-minute break.”

“When videos of celebrities in hospital beds are posted online, every nurse in that ward must be arrested.
The person who did it was looked into, fired, and had his or her license taken away. “It’s sad and embarrassing to see our famous people in such a bad way, so stop it,” she said.
