Qatar sends strong wards to Rainbow LGBT flag raisers at football matches

Qatar will be the centre of attraction as they host the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The host country of the festive football season has sent strong wards to fans who will be at the matches and would want to raise Rainbow LGBT flags.

Abdullah Al Nasari, Head of Security at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar is on record to have said “If you want to express your views on the LGBT cause, do so in a society where it will be accepted. Do not come and insult an entire society. We will not change the religion for 28 days.”

“If a fan raises the rainbow flag in a stadium, and it is taken away, it will not be because we want to offend him, but to protect him. If we don’t another spectator could attack him. If you buy a ticket, it is to attend a football match and not to demonstrate” He further stated.

He believes every decision taken by the security officers in regard to such an act will always be in the interest of the fans.

“If you want to express your views on the LGBT cause, do so in a society where it will be accepted.” is the latest strong message to the world, football lovers, teams, and players who will be in Qatar from November 20th to Sunday,18 December that, Qatar is not going to soften its stands for the 28 days the world cup will be held in the country.

The old adage, “If you go to Rome, you do what the Romans do” is perfectly illustrated in the message as the world looks forward to a memorable footballing season where the best 32 teams in the world for the 2022 World Cup will each bring 26 players to compete for the Trophy as stake.
