Check Out What GUTA Said About Alan Kyeremanten’s Resignation

Ghana Union of Traders Association(GUTA) has heaped praises on the former Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kyerematen.

The union described him as a national icon, a statesman, a genius and a global asset.

With over 10 years of service at the Trade and Industry Ministry under two governments, Alan Kyerematen surprisingly sent in an official resignation letter on January 5, 2023, to end his stay at the Ministry.

His unexpected resignation set the political space agog with divided opinions on why he stepped down from such an enviable position in government.

As the official mouthpiece of the Traders Union in Ghana, the leadership of GUTA issued a press statement celebrating the Industrial expert at the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

An official communique from the leadership of GUTA described the outgoing Trade and Industry Minister as an excellent leader, and a political genius.

“The Ghana Union of Traders’ Associations (GUTA) is deeply saddened by the news of the sudden resignation of the Trade and Industry Minister, Hon. Alan Kyerematen.

Hon. Alan Kyerematen was first appointed as a Trade Minister from 2003-2007 under HE John Agyekum Kuffuor before his return to the same seat from 2017 to 2023.

His rich experience in the Trade and Industry Ministry saw him elevated to various global platforms on international Trade and Industrial drive initiatives.

“It is our hope and prayer that, the next person to be appointed to replace him will also, emulate such sterling performance of his or her immediate predecessor and work with full commitment and dedication to service.

We wish Hon. Alan well in all his endeavours”, the conclusion part of the Statement reads.

In Ghana, the flagship One District One Factory is one of several brain works of the former Trade and Industry Minister.
