Kudus Pays Tribute to Christian Atsu
Ghanaian footballer Mohammed Kudus has paid a heartfelt tribute to his compatriot, Christian Atsu, who lost his life in the recent earthquake that hit parts of Turkey and Syria.
The tribute was made by Kudus during a match between Ajax and Sparta Rotterdam in the Eredivisie.
Kudus, who was a part of Ghana’s senior squad at the same time as Atsu, scored a goal in the 84th minute of the match, which Ajax won 4-0.
After scoring the goal, Kudus ran to the sideline and lifted his Ajax shirt to reveal another white shirt underneath with “RIP Atsu” written on it.
The death of Atsu has sent shockwaves through the football community, with many of his colleagues and fans expressing their condolences and sharing their memories of him on social media.
The tribute from Kudus, who now plays for Ajax, has highlighted the impact Atsu had on the football world and the admiration he commanded from his fellow players.
