Whatsapp Finally Copies The Most Popular Feature Of Telegram

Do You Know That Whatsapp Has Finally Copies The Most Popular Feature Of Telegram? The Social Media App, WhatsApp seeks to take every step needed to remain relevant and competitive as a messaging app.

It is the world’s most used and downloaded instant messaging app, but its features are not always able to compete with those of other apps such as Telegram.

Comparatively, WhatsApp is still behind in terms of modern and responsive features when compared to the likes of Telegram.

WHATSAPP HAS COPIED A COUPLE OF FEATURES FROM SIMILAR APPSWhatsApp Feature

The owners of WhatsApp, Meta are trying hard to at least match up with the competitors and remain an important force but in doing so, WhatsApp seems to be copying the features of their apps and integrating them into their app. Well, they do not need to reinvent the wheel.

Sad to say that, each time WhatsApp introduces a feature, that feature already exists on Telegram or Signal which makes WhatsApp become a late adaptor.

Recently, WhatsApp introduced its poll feature which has been one of the oldest features on Telegram. The disappearing message feature by WhatsApp was also a copied feature inspired by Signal Messenger.

Wabetainfo.com, has indicated that WhatsApp is eying another feature from Telegram. This feature has been identified as Telegram’s most popular feature. This popular feature on Telegram to be introduced on WhatsApp is the Channels feature.

Not in the distance future, WhatsApp Users will be able to create and use channels in their apps as is the case on Telegram.

WhatsApp Register Call For Info

Initially, this feature was tipped to come with the name “Private Newsletter”. However, the name seems to have changed in order to suit the purpose of the feature.

Speaking of features, Newsletter was designed to be a one-to-many form of broadcasting messages. With this, users can subscribe to accounts that they would like to receive newsletters. Something quite similar to joining a Telegram Channel.

WHATSAPP CHANNELS FEATURE IS THE NEW NAME FOR NEWSLETTERWhatsApp Feature

The feature is still under development but a screenshot has shown that WhatsApp has renamed it to Channels. WhatsApp will place Channels under the Status tab which will also have a change of name from “Status” to “Update”.

The new Update tab will also be redesigned to have all status arranged in horizontal format instead of the vertical format we currently have. It is worth noting that, user information such as contact numbers will remain hidden after you join a particular Channel. With this, other members of the channel will not be able to see you in the channel even if you have their contacts.

This new feature will also give you the power to control who to receive newsletters or broadcast messages from. You can also search for the name of a channel and join since each channel will have a special handle.

Even though it is one of the main features of Telegram, having it on WhatsApp will be one of the best features that was introduced to the platform.

Developers are currently working on this new feature. We will soon see it go live on our phones. We will make sure to share the news as soon as it is released to the general public. Stay tuned.
