University of Education, Winneba(UEW) is inviting applications from WASSCE holders, SSSCE holders, Diploma holders, Mature applicants and graduating SHS WASSCE students awaiting results to apply for admission into Bachelor of Fine Art in Animation programme at the Department of Graphic Design.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
(a) Direct candidates must possess any of these two qualifications:
- SSSCE: Must possess (A – D) in six (6) subjects (credit passes), comprising the three core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science OR Social Studies; and at least a Grade C in any (3) three electives in Visual Arts, Science or General Arts at the SSSCE level (or equivalent).
- WASSCE: Must possess Credit Passes (A1 – C6) in six (6) subjects, comprising the three core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science OR Social Studies; and at least a Grade ‘C6’ in any (3) three electives in Visual Arts, Science or General Arts at the WASSCE level (or equivalent).

b) Holders of Diploma in Graphic Design
- This category of applicants must have pursued at least a 2-year Diploma course in Graphic Design from the University of Education, Winneba or any National Accreditation Board’s recognized university, with not less than a CGPA of 2.50, 3-year Diploma from Polytechnic or accredited institution and must have obtained a credit or better grade.
- Applicants must also pass a selection interview. This will determine the entry level (either level 200 or level 300) based on his/her performance at the interview.
c) Mature candidates must
- Be at least 25 years by August of the academic year of admission.
- Pass a General Aptitude Test (GAT) to be administered by the University
- Pass a Subject Area Test (SAT) to be administered by the University.
