2023 GTLE 2 Ends Today; Check Out The Date For Next Examination
The second edition of the 2023 teacher licensure examination(GTLE 2) will officially end on Friday, 15th September, 2023. The exams begun on Wednesday, 13th September, 2023. Let’s take a look at the very date for the next examination.
According to the registrar of the Ghana Teacher Licensure Exams, Dr. Opoku Addai, the next set of examination will be written in November, 2023. This examination is solely for resitters of the Traditional (Old) teacher licensure examination. However, for those who are yet to write the examination as a fresh candidate would have to wait until next year(2024).
Addressing the media, Dr. Opoku Addai stated that all candidates who failed in the recent licensure exams have the final chance in November to resit.
“There are two options open to them, they have one chance to write the exam in November, which will be the last chance for the traditional licensure examination. If they are not able to pass then there is still a door open for them.
He expressed his disappointment in the just ended licensure exams where only 16.5% candidates passed the exams. He added that the new Licensure Exams format will begin on 2024. This means any teacher who fails in November will have to register in 2024 as a new candidate.
“The opening is that if the person is already a degree holder in 2024 they can register the new system and write.
“The minimum qualification to teach in Ghana now is a degree so from 2024 if you don’t have a degree you cannot write the Ghana Teacher Licensure examination.”.
OUTCOME OF THE 2023 NTC EXAMS(RESITTERS)
