This is not a verbal issue. The New Patriotic Party NPP forwarded a letter to the big men at UTV telling them redirect their show to have a balance program. After reading the said letter from the New Patriotic Party NPP to UTV United Shobiz, Kwame A-Plus described the letter as baseless with no value and that the New Patriotic Party has no legal right to tell United Showbiz on issues to discuss and not to discuss.
As if that is not enough, Kwame A-plus destroyed NPP’s letter live on the United Showbiz. The action of Kwame A-plus did not favour some section of the New Patriotic Party. Hence, a group of thugs numbered about sixteen (16) invaded UTV studio on Saturday 7th of October 2023 to attack Kwame A-Plus for destroying a property (the letter) of the New Patriotic Party. Those thugs were arrested on the 7th of October 2023 and granted bail on the 8th of October 2023.
MzGee Replies NPP for the First Time.
Addressing the issue a week after the thugs invades UTV studio, MzGee the host for United showbiz made it clear that, this the time for the new Patriotic Party to listen to the truth. Their attack on media personalities and media houses in general is getting out of hand. Ghana’s are not under autocratic rule where people are not expected to voice out their grievances and opinions.
MzGee finally Replies NPP for the first time after the incident occured. She made it clear that, her show (United Showbiz) which is held on every Saturdays is not a political show and has not intention to be used for politics. She added that, it is an entertainment show where various issues are being discussed.
