ABOUT ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE

The English Premier League is the highest level of the English football league system. Contested by 20 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the English Football League (EFL). Seasons typically run from August to May, with each team playing 38 matches against all other teams, both home and away. Most games are played on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, with occasional weekday evening fixtures.

At the end of the season, the top four teams will automatically qualify for the 2024/2025 UEFA champions League. The 5th and 6th teams will also qualify for the UEFA Europa League competition. The 7th team will also qualify for the UEFA Conference League. The 18th, 19th and 20th club will relegate. This means, they can’t play the EPL the following season.
