Kudus and Partey Nominated For CAF Awards

 

Confederation of African Football (CAF) has nominated Ghana’s Thomas Partey and Kudus Mohammed for this year’s edition of CAF Men Footballer of the Year Awards.

Both footballers play in the English Premier League with magnificent performance for their various teams, and have earned nomination for their performance they show up for their clubs and their country Ghana.

A statement released by AFCON indicate that this year’s awards will be held on 11th December,2023 at Morroco.

List of nominees for the men’s categories for the CAF Awards 2023 as preparations for the Awards Gala scheduled for 11 December 2023 in Marrakech, Morocco, gather momentum.

A panel of CAF Technical Experts, African Football Legends and selected media representatives from a number of countries put together the preliminary list for the various categories with the performance of the nominees between November 2022 and September 2023 serving as the period under consideration.”

Mohammed Kudus and Thomas Partey have been nominated for the 2023 CAF men’s player of the year award

 

Executive Members and Panel of CAF Technical Experts believes that, Thomas Partey contribution contributed to the success of his Arsenal to place Second on 2022/2023 English Premier League table for a long time since they did that.

Thomas also played in the 2022 FIFA world cup that took place at Qatar.

Energetic and skilled winger, Kudus Mohammed recently joined the London side Western Ham United from Ajax Armsterdam in the summer window transfer.

Kudus help his formal team, Ajax Armsterdam in the Dutch League and now excelling massively in the English Premier League. He also played for the Senior National Team,the Black Stars of Ghana in the FIFA world cup.

The two representatives of Ghana in this year’s CAF men’s Awards performed throughout the year under review.

The CAF shortlisted thirty nominees for the ultimate award. Last year Senegalese Sadio Mané was crowned winner.

Leon Football club in the French Legue 1 superstar, Ernest Nuamah has also been nominated for CAF young player of the Year.

Countries that have a lot of nomination in the Men’s Footballer of Year category is Morroco with Seven followed by Egypt with Four.
