Asamoah Gyan, first Ghananain to score in the FIFA World Cup

The legendary Asamoah Gyan turn 38 years today. He was born on 22nd November,1985 at Accra.He is a proud product of Accra Academy.

‘Baby Jet’ Asamoah Gyan started his professional football career from the the Ghana Premier League side Liberty Professionals in the year 2003.

At Liberty, ‘Baby Jet’ payed his dues well that made him attractive to many clubs in Ghana and the world at large.
Asamoah Gyan made his National team debut at the age of seventeen (17) when Ghana defeated Somalia on November 19, 2003.

After the 2006 FIFA world cup in Germany, the legendary Asamoah Gyan joined the Italian Serie A side Udinese as a result of his tremendous performance during the competition.
At Udinese, He played 39 matches scoring 10 goals in the Serie A and other European competitions.

He then went for loan at Modena scoring 15 goals in 53 appearance.
He joins Renes in the French league 1 in 2010 scoring 10 goals.
After his excellent performance at the 2010 FIFA world cup he became Hot a cake.

Many European teams started chasing him but he signed for Sunderland in the English Premier League.
After his success in the English Premier League, He joined Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates Legue.

He played for Chinese side Shanghai SIPG, Shabab Al Ahli, Kayerispor, North East United and ended his career in Accra based Legon Cities.
