WAEC Releases 2023 WASSCE Results: Full Statistic

The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) has released the 2023 WASSCE results for all candidates who sat for the WASSCE exams.

WAEC in a press statement said it will make login details available to heads of schools in order for them to access the results of their candidates.

This year’s results is perceived to be the best results in the last four years spanning from 2020 to 2023, per the performance statistics released by WAEC.

At the time of this publication, the results have been posted online and candidates who want to check may access their results at the Council’s website at www.waecdirect.org.

The results of 4,878 candidates were blocked for refusing to return learning support materials that were given to them by their schools and such candidates are to get in touch with their schools, according to WAEC.

WAEC warned the general public to stay away from people who claim to upgrade results at a fee, there is no such thing as upgrading of results.

“Candidates are to note that WAEC results are secured and can be authenticated using its results verification system. The WAEC QR code can be downloaded and used to verify results.”

Also, subject results of 3,647 candidates have been cancelled for bringing foreign materials like prepared notes, text books, and printed material into the examination halls.

The whole results of 839 candidates have also been cancelled for possession of mobile phones in the examination halls.

The subject results of 4,280 candidates and the whole results of 1,005 candidates have been withheld for various suspected offenses.

A total number of 448,674 candidates of which 212,453 are males and 236,221 are females from 975 schools registered for the examination.

This number is 5.8% higher than the 2022 passage figure of 422,883.

A total number of 3,404 (0.75%) were absent from the examination.
