Ghana Education News| Ghana records 14 COVID-19 deaths in 48 hours according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS). The GHS confirmed that fourteen people have died from Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the last 48 hours, increasing the total death toll to 982. As of Wednesday, August 18, 2021, there have been 968 deaths.

According to a GHS update, the country has registered 423 new instances of the disease (COVID-19) as of Friday, August 20, 2021, taking the total number of active cases in the country to 6,850.

The overall number of cases in the country is 115,525, accounting for 7.3% of the test positivity rate.

There are 107, 693 people who have recovered or been discharged, with 34 people in serious condition and 20 others in critical condition.
