For the Junior High School (JHS), the old curriculum was still being run, albeit a delay in the production and procurement of the materials for the Standard Base Curriculum.” the GNA publication dated 26th August stated.
He was eager to point out that the issue would not have an impact on academics because 150,000 instructors had been educated and given resource packs to supplement the Standard Based Curriculum when it is implemented.

In a related development, comments by the that teachers are to continue teaching students at the JHS using the old curriculum was tagged as fake by the GES on its Facebook portal. The Coalition of Concerned Teachers Ghana (CCT-GH) was said to have made pronouncements to the effect that the Ghana Education Service had directed that schools should revert to the old curriculum instead of the new one.
