Accra Academy 2004 Group celebrates 20th anniversary

On Saturday, April 13, 2024, the 2004-year group of Accra Academy celebrated the 20th anniversary of their graduation with a launch event held at the school’s premises. The theme for this milestone anniversary is “Deepening the Bleoo Brand, 20 Years of Impactful Experience.”
The event was an occasion to give thanks for the blessings over the past two decades and to strengthen the bond within the alumni community by giving back to their alma mater.
The celebrations were officially inaugurated by Mr. Kofi Amoa-Awuah, Global President of the Accra Academy Old Boys Association (AAOBA).
In his speech, Mr. Amoa-Awuah reflected on the achievements of the group’s members in various professional fields and urged them to continue offering their expertise to support the school and its community.
Mr. Emmanuel Ofoe Fiemawhle, the Headmaster of Accra Academy, praised the school’s staff for their dedication and acknowledged the continuous support from the Old Boys Association since his appointment.
He encouraged the 2004 cohort to persist in their efforts to aid the school in various capacities.
Ing. Ibrahim Fuseini, chairman of the anniversary planning committee, outlined the events planned for the celebration.

These activities include a career guidance seminar for senior students, a health screening for the school community, fun games, a dinner dance, a teachers’ awards day, and a thanksgiving service.
He also announced a significant project by the 2004-year group: the establishment of a media and innovation hub featuring online radio and TV facilities.
This initiative aims to enhance the school’s engagement with stakeholders and nurture talents interested in media careers.
The event concluded with heartfelt socializing among alumni, some reconnecting after many years apart, accompanied by performances from the talented Bleoo School Band.
Representatives from adjacent year groups and neighboring schools like St. Mary’s and St Thomas Aquinas also shared their support and congratulations, making the day a memorable reaffirmation of community and camaraderie.
